Byun Sung-hwan’s place in the World Cup has been finalized.

South Korea has been drawn into Group E alongside France, the United States and Burkina Faso after the draw for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup on Friday at the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

South Korea will face the United States on Nov. 12, followed by France on Nov. 15. On Nov. 18, they will face Burkina Faso in the final match. 토토사이트

It’s a tough group. France, a traditional European powerhouse, finished runner-up at this year’s UEFA U-17 Championship. The United States is also a strong contender, having finished runner-up in the North and Central American qualifiers. Burkina Faso finished third in the African qualifier.

South Korea qualified after finishing as runner-up at this year’s Asian Cup. They are expected to make a strong showing at the World Cup with their flashy, solid soccer.

This year’s World Cup kicks off on Nov. 10 in Indonesia and runs through Dec. 2.

South Korea reached the quarterfinals of the 2019 tournament. This is their best finish since 1987 and 2009.
