South Korean women’s table tennis veteran Seo Hyo-won, 36, has been knocked out of the singles competition at the 2023 International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF)-Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) Pyeongchang Asian Championships after losing to the world’s fifth-ranked Chinese player.
Seo Hyo-won, ranked 61st in the world in women’s singles, lost to Wang Man-yu (CHN), ranked fifth in the world, with a game score of 1-3 (4-11 12-10 3-11 5-11) in the round of 64 of the women’s singles event at the Pyeongchang Dome in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon Province, on Sunday.
