Aaron Judge, 31, who signed a stunning nine-year, $360 million contract with the New York Yankees last winter, has hit his stride of late.
Through 38 games of the season through Sept. 23, Jersey is batting .299 with 13 home runs, 32 RBIs, 31 runs scored, 41 runs batted in, a .400 OPS and a 1.042 slugging percentage.
Those numbers rank first in the majors in OPS and tied for fourth in home runs, and he was named American League Player of the Week last week after batting .500 with five home runs and an OPS of 1.893.
When he hit the disabled list late last month, he was batting .261 with a .352 on-base percentage and 0.863 OPS. Good numbers, but not for Jersey.
However, since returning from the disabled list on the 10th, his numbers have improved dramatically, especially with seven home runs in his last eight games 먹튀검증.
He also had four hits, including a double, against the Cincinnati Reds on April 21, which improved his batting average and slugging percentage significantly.
In just over ten days, he’s increased his batting average by four points, his slugging percentage by five points, and his OPS by nearly 0.2. That’s how hot his bat has been lately.
He’s on pace for a triple-digit batting average and already has a four-digit slugging percentage. Just like last year, he’s showing both accuracy and power.
His next goal is to take over the home run lead. Currently, the major league leader in home runs is Pete Alonso (28) with 17. It looks like the two New York players will soon be competing for the home run title.
