This can’t be happening. Harry Maguire scored again, this time an own goal.

The England national team won a 3-1 friendly against Scotland at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Sept. 13. The match commemorated the world’s first A match between England and Scotland in 1872.

England eased past Scotland with a goal from Foden in the 31st minute, a goal from Bellingham in the 33rd minute, and a wedge from Kane in the 35th minute.

But it was Maguire’s own goal that stole the show. Maguire came on as a substitute at the start of the second half. In the 21st minute of the second half, Maguire attempted to clear an opponent’s pass and it went straight into the back of the net. 스포츠토토

After the game, soccer stats company Footmob gave Maguire a rating of 5.3. It was his lowest rating of the game. He completed 95% of his passes (39/41), but didn’t attempt a single tackle.

Football outlet Tribuna reported the fans’ reaction. “Maguire might be the unluckiest soccer player on the planet right now,” they wrote, “He needs to go to a team where there is no pressure on him,” and “Someone cursed this guy.”

Maguire’s career hasn’t been going well lately. When he moved to United, he was expected to be the new leader of their defense. The Red Devils spent £80 million ($133.3 million) to acquire Maguire because he had performed well for his former club Leicester City.

After joining United, his mistakes became more frequent. Maguire became a completely different person. He’s become a player with no strengths. He wore the United captain”s armband, but he became less and less effective. Last season, he was completely overshadowed by Rafael Varane and Lisandro Martinez.

He lost the captaincy to Bruno Fernandez ahead of this season. United were looking to get rid of Maguire. West Ham showed interest in Maguire. The Hammers reportedly offered United a specific transfer fee, but talks broke down.

Despite his struggles at United, England manager Southgate had faith in Maguire, but he failed to live up to expectations in this game, scoring an own goal. The once top player in the English Premier League has fallen from grace.
